Government urged to cut fuel duty

CAMPAIGNERS are pressing the Government to cut fuel duty by 3p a litre. The FairFuelUK campaign has taken credit for a series of fuel duty freezes over recent months. Today, a week ahead of the Budget, the group is presenting a letter to 10 Downing Street calling for a 3p cut.

Caterham The Caterham Formula 1 team has been sold to a consortium of Swiss and Middle-Eastern investors following a poor season so far in 2014. Rumours that Caterham would cut its losses have been rife, since team founder Tony Fernandes threatened to quit if things didn't improve this year. Nissan hires Magna Steyr to build new entry-level Infiniti car

Nissan said Thursday that Austrian contract manufacturer Magna Steyr will build a new premium compact car for the Infiniti brand, starting in 2014. Infiniti boss Andy Palmer said in a statement that the car will help the brand to reach new consumers and grow in key markets such as western Europe. Nissan did not give any more details about the car or say whether it will be sold in markets outside Europe such as the United States.
